New Smallville: Absolute Justice Trailer
January 29, 2010Technical Difficulty
January 29, 2010Hey guys, we had some issues on the backend of the site and the stuff I had prepared for today got deleted. Sorry, it looks like only the one update today.
James Marsters on Caprica
January 27, 2010
Just a quick first look of James Marsters on Caprica. We’d previously seen a quick glimpse of him in early trailers and now pictures are hitting the web. Marsters plays Barnabus Greely, an enigmatic and dangerous leader in the monotheist world. Maybe he was the one behind the train bombing that started everything in motion.
Don’t forget Caprica airs on Fridays on the SciFi Syfy channel. To hold you over until then we have the first picture of Barnabus Greely below.
Marvel Sticks it to DC
January 25, 2010Last week Marvel announced a new promotion that would allow comic retailers to mail in covers from unsold DC comic. In return they would receive a 1:50 special edition of Marvel’s Siege crossover. The catch is that it takes 50 DC covers to receive the 1 variant. And just to stick it to DC further the only titles allowed in this exchange were those from the Blackest Night crossover. Many retailers had bought a lot of these issues to receive freebie Lantern rings to give to give out with their orders.
Marvel recently unveiled the cover for this limited issue and its Deadpool wearing a lot of gaudy jewelery… specifically rings. Coincidence? Seems unlikely. However its Deadpool so I must have the comic pictured below.
Possible Tony Stark Cameo in Thor?
January 25, 2010I don’t know if anyone watched the Golden Globe Awards last week, but if you did you may have noticed something interesting about Robert Downey Jr. He’s grown out the Tony Stark goatee again so it’s a logical jump to think that he’s filming more as Tony Stark.
There’s two possible reasons he’s brought back the Stark look. First, he could be doing some reshoots for Iron Man 2. This seems the most likely, but Paramount is denying that any Iron Man 2 reshoots are taking place.
The second possible alternative is that there is a Tony Stark cameo in the Thor film. Thor is about to begin filming, so this lines up perfectly for RDJ to have his Stark look back in time for the cameo scene. I’d say its likely, especially since we got a Tony Stark cameo in The Incredible Hulk. If Stark cameos in Thor its continuing the trend of linking all the new Marvel films together, and personally I think thats great.
Farewell Conan – The End of A (7 Month) Era
January 23, 2010Last night was Conan O’Brien’s final episode of The Tonight Show, and it was a funny show. Conan also proved that he is still one of the classier people on TV today and I look forward to seeing him on TV 7 months from now. We’ve got a copy of his monologue and the best of The Tonight Show below if you missed it. But before that I leave you with a quote that Conan said last night that I thought should be taken to heart by a great many.
“…all I ask is one thing, and I ask this particularly of young people who watch: please do not be cynical. I hate cynicism– for the record, it’s my least-favorite quality. It doesn’t lead anywhere.” – Conan O’Brien

Smallville: Absolute Justice Trailer
January 22, 2010So the trailer for the Smallville movie event hit the web a couple days ago. If you haven’t heard about this event the basic gist is that members of the Justice Society of America or JSA will be guest starring in this 2 hour Smallville event. Smallville: Absolute Justice is slated to air Friday, February 5th at 8PM on the CW. I already know I’ll be watching.
