Nerds of the Round Table

For a while I was addicted to Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch TV show.  One of my favorite ships to follow as Captain Phil Harris’ Cornelia Maria.

This morning I saw on the news that Captain Phil had passed away overnight after having a stroke about a month back.  My condolences to the Harris family.

Discovery Channel released the following statement:

“He was more than someone on our TV screen, Phil was a devoted father and loyal friend to all who knew him. We will miss his straightforward honesty, wicked sense of humor and enormous heart. We share our tremendous sadness over this loss with the millions of viewers who followed Phil’s every move.”
